White Represents Clean Air
The following partially describes the main elements in my vision for the Town of Milton Flag. This flag design draws on the rich diversity within the Milton community.
The first and strongest element is the logo "M" for Milton. The three different bars that make up the "M" represent all the individual elements in our community, (people, buildings, businesses, religions) although all these elements are different they stand to form one community that is strong and united.
The second is the three upward sweeping lines. Keeping a sense of the Milton logo that everyone easily recognizes. This represents the Milton escarpment, a strong landmark that sets us apart from other communities. The three upward sweeping lines also represent Milton's strong growth in business, housing and most of all people.
The upper part of the logo shows a bright blue sky and brilliant sun, this symbol lets us realise what a beautiful, clean vibrant community we live.
The white background represents the clean air we breath.
The two bars at the lower portion stabilize the flag. The green bar representing the green earth of our surrounding countryside, and the blue bar represents the beautiful bodies of water such as Kelso and Crawford lakes.
